Autumn

The weather is getting cooler and it's definitely feeling like autumn so I had to start wearing socks this week. I like being barefeet better than wearing socks. It means more laundry and dealing with the missing sock. It also means I can't grow out my toe nails because it hurts when they rub against the socks. One good thing is that I can save money on my monthly pedicures since no one can see my toes anyway. I guess I can also take this opportunity to finally give some healing to my abused feet from the summer. I don't like to lotion my feet during the summer because they become too slippery when I wear my slippers barefeet. I wonder if my feet can ever be soft.

I also pulled out my flannel pajamas.

Jean taught me how to knit two weeks ago. I chose a bright happy orange colored yarn for my first project, a scarf. I've offered to knit it for several people, but no one seems to want an orange scarf so maybe I'll be making it for myself. Progress is slow because I've had to restart it at least ten times now. I wonder if I'll be able to wear it this winter.
