Today I quit my job.

Well not exactly at this moment but I will be done with teaching at the end of June. See I worked today even though I'm on vacation because I had switched two days with another teacher when I got my wisdom teeth out so I had to make it up to her. When I got to work I realized that our preference sheets for next year was due by 8 A.M. tomorrow. I had been thinking that this would be my last year of teaching since the beginning of this school year so this was not a last minute decision but I did have a last minute moment of doubt. Did I really want to be jobless?

My first attempt at quitting during recess failed because the principal was not in her office so I had to wait until lunch time. I was really nervous but our talk went smoothly and quickly. In three minutes flat I had quit my job. I felt so relieved and excited afterwards that I think I did the right thing.
