I've been quite busy lately socializing. I saw a lot of Jean this month since she's on break from school also. I think I saw her about twice a week. I went to the Camarillo Outlets with Jean this week and we were there all day. I left my house at 10:30 A.M. and didn't return until 9 P.M. I haven't done that much shopping in ages.

It's difficult to keep track of the dates and days since everyday feels like a Saturday to me now. What a blessed person I am! However, having no schedule or plan is causing some stress in my psyche since as a teacher every minute of the day was planned and counted for. So this week I tried making a daily schedule the night before which has helped. I'm also using this time to get more disciplined in spending some quiet moments with God and everyday has been challenging.

I finished reading The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. The book was very different from the movie and of course I liked the book better. The story was fast paced considering it was 510 pages long.

"Live and be happy, beloved children of my heart, and never forget that, until the day comes when God will deign to reveal the future to man, all human wisdom is contained in these words: Wait and hope!

Your friend,
Edmond Dantes, Count of Monte Cristo"

Eventful Weekend

This weekend has been filled with social interactions. Erik's sister's family was visiting so I spent a lot of talking with his sister and playing with the kids. We went to Tanner's 100th day party. He was surprising awake for most of the party. I guess he didn't want to miss out. He has gotten quite chubby and very cute! We also took Kate, our niece, to her piano recital practice. Poor Erik had to work on Saturday and Sunday in the midst of all of this. I could use some alone time too.

Oh, we finally got our wedding album this past week. It's beautiful! We love it! It brings back so many memories.

Staying Home

Since coming back home from the Washing D.C. trip, I've been staying home and feeling like I'm on one of my breaks. Due to the extensive time spent in the house, I naturally end up doing more housework than before - doing laundry, washing the dishes, making rice, cooking lunch, cleaning the house, organizing, vacuuming, etc. I hope I don't get lazy and just watch TV all day. I also hope that I'll get to do things other than housework. The best part of staying home has been sleeping in until 9 A.M. everyday.
