"If you ever got one of those bleach jobs done on your teeth, you could seriously blind people." -Joo

The string quartet begins to play the all familiar wedding song "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire" as the bridesmaids obediently march down the long stretching aisle on que with nervous fake smiles pasted on their faces. Obviously uncomfortable with the two hundred pairs of eyes following their every move down the aisle. At least the dress is very forgiving. One of those empire waisted dresses in navy blue satin covering any conspicuous bulging from view. The tune changes as the bridesmaids make it to their proper places and the bride appears at the arm of her father at the door to the sanctuary. She too looks nervous and her eyes seem unfocused. She looks down on the white runner every now and then to avoid being overly self-conscious of the stares of the guests. As she nears the front of the sanctuary, she looks up only to be confronted with two rows of perfectly straight teeth a bit yellowed by years of coffee drinking. She could even see the back teeth in the perfect semi-circle smile. Amusement and relief sets in and she smiles back to the one person she is able pick out of the crowd. No, it's not the bridegroom.

"Life is good." -Steve

October is turning out to be a very busy month. There are no big holidays in October so you would think that it would be a low key month. September is the beginning of school and we have several family birthdays. November, you have Thanksgiving. December, there's Christmas, which reminds me I should make my Christmas cards soon. October, there's just Halloween at the very end. Luckily, I've been feeling more sociable recently.

It was a hot day in Pasadena today, close to 100 degrees. But the rest of the week isn't supposed to be as hot. Whew... I went to Bally's with Susan and worked out. So far I'm getting my money worth. I had a strawberry shake from Jack in the Box today. It's been so long since I've had one of those. It was sweet and heavy. Yum...
